I am still debating whether the size is the right one for me after wearing it outside only once. Very snug fit keeping me warm. I am tall at 5,9 with long arms. Great service around delivery. Thanks for the tuque gift.
I am very disappointed with this jacket. When I first purchased it I loved it. It is warm and beautiful. Unfortunately, within 2 weeks of very light wear (to the bus stop and back), all of the "leather" detailing (which is in no way real leather) started to fray quite noticeably. I wrote the company and received an email in return that stated the fraying portions can be replaced, however, factories were closed due to covid, therefore, the repairs could not be done. I inquired about having the very poor quality fake leather replaced with something more durable and I was told that it would be an extra cost. I had worn this very expensive jacket for only 2 weeks, an extra cost for quality materials seemed unreasonable to me. It has now been slightly more than a year since my original purchase, so the warranty is no longer valid, and all the "leather" is completely flaked off, and last week the right sleeve has ripped and partially detached from the jacket. This is my walk-around-the-city jacket, not my winter sports jacket, there is no reason that a jacket that costs almost a thousand dollars should be ripping and fraying after such light wear. It is a bad sign that as soon as the warranty lapses the jacket begins to physically fall apart. I regret spending so much money on this jacket, it looks so cheap now. I was hoping that after spending so much I would not need to purchase another jacket for years and years, but it's looking like this jacket will not last more than 1 winter season, and it didn't even look good last winter due to all the fraying.
I couldn't edit an old review, so I decided to come back and write a new one to talk about my experience after a few weeks with the Cheyenne coat. I am very, VERY happy with it! Firstly, it is so beautiful and flattering, and I've gotten compliments to my face from people I know, but I've also overheard strangers in stores comment on it to each other!! I've worn it for about a month so far in Canadian winter (albeit, not super cold, but still enough to get an idea of the warmth of the coat) and it is really warm and feels super cozy and sOoOoOo soft. The length is also great, in my opinion-- It's long enough to sit on, if you need to sit for a minute outside. BUT one really excellent design feature is the two-way zipper! It's not even mentioned in the description, but it is a fantastic design feature, because if you need to be kneeling or bending over, you just unzip a little from the bottom to give you some extra room for your thighs to move, and if you're just walking or standing, you can zip it all the way down. I was SO happy when I discovered this, as it does make a big difference in how you experience and move in the coat! It's the cherry on top of the cake!
I came back to write another review because I always thoroughly research before buying things (especially for a certain amount of money, and an investment I won't be buying every year). When I was buying the coat, there weren't any reviews, and I was sceptical about buying something without reading any reviews, but I took a chance anyway, and I am VERY very happy with it! So I wanted to come here to assure anyone thinking of buying this coat (I can only speak for the Cheyenne) that you will be VERY happy with it! It really is as good as the pictures and the description!
Thank you Kristina for the review! We're so happy to hear your positive comments. You're right, the two way zipper is a key feature and we should add it to the description!
Beautiful fit, love it
I've been in the market for a quality new coat for a few years already and haven't been able to find something I liked for a price I was willing to pay. I discovered Canadian Wolf by accident around Black Friday, and when I saw the Cheyenne coat, it was EXACTLY what I had been looking for for years!
I accidentally ordered the wrong size at first (as in, I had a 50/50 chance of getting it right, and chose the wrong 50, haha) and it was very easy and quick to exchange for the correct size. FYI, in terms of sizing, I measured myself according to the sizing chart and I was an L according to it, but the L coat was too big (for reference, I'm usually a size 8 in stores, and size M in this coat fits perfectly). It's a slim cut, so I would take that into account when ordering. It's quite true to size.
At first glance, it's a beautiful and quality coat, true to the photos, and only time will tell whether it will really be warm in the harsh winter and keep its appearance over many years.
But so far, so good! :)
